Re: scotland
If you want vast beaches then Fife is a good bet - we stayed at a lovely site in the hills above St Andrews in the summer with views of the bay across to Leuchars.

Re: Anyone seen this?
I need to replace my front tyres this week - I am guessing I can't have difference on front and back? Woman question now (sorry  ) If you buy winter tyres do you simply lose your summer ones, even if they are good? Or can you get the summer ones put back on later? Thereby having to store them ...

Re: Coolant Leak
We have similar problem - if we stop and don't turn off straight away, but do a bit of manoeuvring the coolant bubbles over. We have to refill about every 400 miles. We have been told the head gasket is on it's way out.

Re: dog travelling safetly....
We have a dog crate for our 2 collies which sits on the floor behind the front seats. We secure it with bungie straps. I actually think this is safer than in the rear area of my estate car TBH. They are very comfortable and just flop out asleep as soon as we hit the road and I know they are safe and...

Re: Another head gasket question
Hi yes, it is a 1.9 petrol engine. Does K seal go around the joint or do we have to put in it somewhere?

Another head gasket question
We have been having to top the coolant up rather regularly and got our mechanic to check things over. He says there is a leak in the head gasket and it will go sometimes soon. The engine has done 103K miles. We have been told that the head gasket will be virtually impossible to remove without breaki...
Re: to$$$er
Not a lot in Norfolk  which is why we want to move 'up North'. But I do a lot of walking hols and train and take kids on Duke of Edinburgh expeditions so I do speak with some knowledge of what is required - both in equipment and experience. Had a funny moment last week in the Lakes - some bloke...
