Cheers for the quick reply, I've got a 1.9 1Y Diesel engine as the original 1.6 D gave up a couple of years ago,and from what I could make out on the gearbox it's an ABH, although almost worn off!

I will have a look into souring the 4 speed parts and compare costs, thanks again for the info.

Hi all, I need to repair my gear linkage due to excessive movement and on investigating what parts I need, I have discovered that i have a 5speed linkage arrangement on the gear stick on a 4speed box. So wondering whether I can just refurb the 5speed linkage arrangement and continue using it on my 4...

Cheers for that camper, hadn't realised that one and didn't think it could be quite that easy!

If I did manage to get a jx engine would my 4 speed box cope? Guessing I could be trashing it abit in 4th?! Would it be costly to have the box modified?
