Re: Problems starting - randomly doesnt turn over
I had this problem, ran through all the normal switch, connection, earth checks to no avail. Replaced the starter motor and all was well for a few months, then the problem returned. Replacement motor solved the problem for 14 months before it returned again. A third replacement has been working fine...

Extending Top Bunk - AutoSleeper
I wanted to extend the top bunk such that an adult could sleep there. I thought an additional drop in panel would do the trick, but this would involve storing yet another item when not in use. However, it turns out that the standard AutoSleeper table is the perfect drop in size. All that was needed ...

Re: Paint Your Wagon - with a roller!
Having just finished I thought I would post my comments:- Bubbles, never really did get a coat on without bubbling, but you soon learn how to 'catch' the set when you can run back with a light touch roller to remove them. I worked 3 coats, flatten back, 4th coat, flatten and buff to finish. Once 24 ...

Re: Fitting a new Fuel Tank.
I managed OK with the front wheels up on ramps. The jack is required to lower/lift the tank so you can get your hands in to remove/fit the breather tubes etc. One of the bolts holding the strap upto the chassis sheared , so needed a bit of work. The challenge is where to store all that fuel that you...

Re: Grrrrrr Starter still playing up !!
I had this problem , but the it would work fine on the bench everytime. I was working on the basis that the solenoid wasn't engaging hard enough to make good contacts but could never prove successfully. fitted a replacement ( don't forget that bush) and bingo worked a treat ..... only 12 months ( 12...

OK , so you've all had a chat. The van also failed on the brake hoses , and brake pipe. So a happy weekend was spent renewing the lot. The problem was I'd got a new brake master cylinder to fit , without checking. So the fun was to get everything done in the weekend so I could get a re-test within t...

Is Clutch Master Cylinder cause for MOT failure?
Fantastic , failed MOT on BRAKE master cylinder leaking fluid ... well it's not the Brake master Cylinder ... it's Clutch master Cylinder.
The brake master cylinder is dry as a bone.
So before I go rant , is leakage from the Clutch Master Cylinder cause for MOT failure?
Thks

Autosleeper HiTop sealing the rear joint
I have what appears to be a common problem with a roof leak. The roof is sealed to the van just above the rear door , this a "T" shaped rubber strip , where the base of the "T" is sandwiched between the fibreglass top and the steel roof. To keep the strip in place holes are drill...
