I'd answer your question for you, if I knew what you were saying. I thought this was an English forum?

Try vactan in a trigger spray bottle

5 speed reverse lockout
I'm presently in the process of refurbing my gear change mechanism and have found mention in the wiki of removing the lockout stop from the base of the lever to ease selection of reverse gear. Is this an advisable action? And whilst I am drawing on your knowledge, do I need to shovel loads of thick ...

Re: 4 speed linkage help
That sounds like excessive wear of the aluminum blocks at the bottom of the gear lever. You're in for a spot of refurbing I believe.

Re: I want headlights like a Scandinavian...
My only concern would be whether there was a back feed problem such that applying the ignition feed to the headlight switch would also cause the sidelights to come on. I haven't checked a wiring diagram to be able to decide either way.

New headlining - shame it doesn't fit!
As my bus is fresh out of the paint shop, I decided to treat her to a new headlining. I did a bit of asking around (and googling) and decided to go with Newton Commercial for a headlining made in velour cloth. Unfortunately, I didn't factor for the 6 week turn round on my order so was left twiddling...

Re: Seat belt knob
It's off!
It was a push fit, but seated in two grooves as shown in the pic. So should anyone else be trying, it's the gentle approach with a modicum of brute force.

Re: Seat belt knob
Thanks for your reply Aidan. I hadn't considered that it may be SA spec. It is indeed the one that you provided the link to. I managed to get the entire assembly off so will now try the brute force, but hopefully short of destruction. Your linked pic gives me a clue to the press fit nature. https://...

Seat belt knob
Can anyone enlighten me as to how to remove the upper drivers seat belt mounting? It is the height adjustable one. I guess the knob needs to come off but gentle persuasion has not worked. Should I apply brute force, or am I missing something?

Re: Screwing around?
Thanks for the replies, folks. I don't think they would be long enough for number plate screws. Less than 10mm of thread.
It would appear, though, that my search is likely to be futile.

Screwing around?
Can anyone identify these screws and suggest a supplier please? They are plentiful in my 'bus so I assume they are original VW, but I have not been able to find them anywhere. Approx 15mm in length with a plastic cap clipping to the collar on the screw. I'm hoping they aren't SA specific..... https:...

Re: Autosleeper pop top springs
A company called Spaceroofs make an aftermarket equivalent of the Autosleeper roof which utilises external gas struts. Perhaps that could be your answer, using external struts to clear your fixed sides? https://www.spaceroofs.co.uk/type-25-elevating-roof.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href...
