I need to buy a coolant reservoir
The coolant reservoir on the right of my engine is leaking, so I need to buy a replacement. I've just had it checked at my local garage as I was losing coolant. The mechanic didn't know where he could buy a replacement, so I'm now on the hunt for one, hence this posting It's not the reservoir behind...

What does turbo diesel mean ?
Before I start, I want to say .. I'm not really sure what I am talking about, but please bear with me. Just keep in mind .. I have a T25 Turbo diesel 'G-reg' van A friend of mine has a converted campervan that recently had an MOT. He was told the emissions were high, but not high enough to fail. Wh...

Leisure Battery Recommendation please
I am looking to buy a new leisure battery for my T25 Due to lockdowns and then a fault, my van wasn't used for well over 2 years. The existing leisure battery is several years old, so before going away I think it's time for a new one .. no doubt there are better batteries now anyway. Any recommendat...

Re: What does a flickering battery warning light mean
It might be the voltage regulator on the alternator needs replacing which is an easy/ quick cheap job to do. Or maybe you have disturbed a wire when swapping the battery. I would check the output with a multimeter. All belts tight? David. Thanks for your reply. My mate, who used to own his own gara...

Seat belt Extension
I want to put in a child seat in the back of my van, but the current seat belt is too short to go around the car seat, so I need an extension. I see some on ebay, but just wondering how good / safe these are. the child seat will fit in the front, but I think I would prefer it at the rear. thanks for...

What does a flickering battery warning light mean
As the title says .. I've recently got a new battery and this morning the van started without problems. Normally as soon as I pick up revs. the battery indicator light goes from very bright to off, but this morning, the whole journey there was a feint flickering light. I decided to return home .. fa...

Re: looking for a decent battery .. 1989 Turbo Diesel
Bosch, Varta Maybe try a battery conditioner / charger first in existing battery. The cold weather soon highlights weak batteries. The current battery was a Bosch and it lasted for just over 5 years years ... just checked my receipts and the 5-year guaranteed has actually just ran out in Novemebr 2...

looking for a decent battery .. 1989 Turbo Diesel
My current battery is about 5 years old but this evening it let me down .. leaving me stranded at the local supermarket (wife wasn't too pleased either) The van stood for well over 2 years without moving which was probably not good for the battery, as it was broken. This year I got the van fixed and...

Re: Antifreeze .. Triple QX orange .. alternatives
Orange Triple QX still available from eurocarparts & carparts4less so I’d personally say stick with it unless you are wanting to do a complete drain and flush. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Yes, I think I'll just stick to what I know The van was off the road for over 2 years, but this work...

Antifreeze .. Triple QX orange .. alternatives
I have a '89 turbo diesel T25 and have always used the orange coolant, Triple QX and after a cold night last night I think i need to get some. To be truthful, the last few times I have just added water ... probably not ideal, but with winter approaching fast, I need some proper antifreeze. Unfortuna...

Re: Bodywork Filler for Rust Repairs
Big Boy body filler is good. Really easy to apply and comes in a few different types depending on what your doing. Available from Tool Station/ Screwfix etc. David. Thanks .. I've actually used Big Boy filler before, for repairing furniture prior to painting and it worked well. Available in my loca...
