Not luxury spec seaside.. just what VW decided that the American market needed. They were an option here that not many took up due to the mini experience probably :D That's not really what I meant. I just said - personally I liked them - personally I liked them on an US spec Van - a simple opinion....

Shocks don't set the ride height. that's the springs' job. shocks determine the ride quality. the trade off here is a stiffer shock means better handling and a choppy ride.... a softer shock will give a better ride but the van will roll more on sharp corners.
