Give my van a smartphone and it would start ordering parts from Brickwerks.

Re: Help with tracker- 103-RS REWIRE SECURITY
I've succeeded in getting the move command to work by using another network. Adeybruce was along the right lines. I'm on Orange and some of the trackers SMS commands work, some dont. I borrowed a Vodaphone and the move command works perfect. Chuffed that it works but not happy that I've gotta use a ...

Help with tracker- 103-RS REWIRE SECURITY
Can anyone help with sending the tracker an SMS. I'm following the instructions in the manual but with no luck. Trying to set up a movement alarm. The manual reads: when 103-RS stays immobile in a place for 3-10 minutes with GPS signal reception you can send SMS "move+password+space+0200"....

Re: Limit Stop for Sliding Door 251 843 876
Cheers for the advice fellas, A brief history I replaced the vans accident damaged sliding door with a straight one last week. A ratchet strap was holding the damaged door closed since I bought it. The old doors damage was substantial and exactly where the rear catch sits, so my initial thought was ...

Limit Stop for Sliding Door 251 843 876
For my 1991 synco, no. 10 on the diagram, a limit stop for sliding door, part number 251 843 876 If anyone knows a source (preferably new), it would be much appreciated. vwbusshop.de shows a picture of one on their website but they're not available. No. 10 is made from a hard plastic. My one is miss...

Sound the horn and the LED flashes (low coolant)
Just though I'd throw this one out there.
Hopefully not the start of proper elastic-trickery troubles.
I doubt anyone's had this prob before.

v belts for breakfast. AAZ
Hello all, is there any known v belt tension probs with aaz's. My engine only has to be run up for a while (20mins)and the belt is like a flip- flop. By this I mean it goes so loose it could fall off. The v belt is new and tensioned correctly i.e 2mm when new and 5mm after being used. Any ideas plea...

Cheers lloydy, was gonna try both those positions and weren't looking forward to trying to fit the rubber ring half way up the ducting, (ooh matron). thanks for the pic, will have less of a 'mare fitting the ring there. In fact remembering back to when I took all those gubbins out that ring was (I t...

Re: Part Identification Please, Diagram Provided
Hello, thanks garyd and ctange, yep heavy rubber ring is exactly the bit left over and I can see where is now goes. Thanks fellas for info and pictures, top job. Just to add, my syncro has had some modifications in that area and the ducting can't be removed/replaced easily. The fabricators have fitt...

Re: Knocking and banging, low power
Hello, my 1984 1.9 DG had the same symptoms as yours on two separate occasions; ran fine in the morning and ran like poo in the afternoon, knocking, clicking, low power and the odd back fire. First time, the HT leads gave up just like that, in an instance. Replaced them and all was good, it ran grea...

Part Identification Please, Diagram Provided
Hello, I took all the parts except for 1, 2 and 3 in the diagram below off of my needy syncro about 6 months ago. I put them back together today and have a part left over, no.11. From the diagram (vagcat) the obvious place for it to go is around part no.2, but I didn't take no.2 off because it looks...

Re: quality parts manufacturers
It was 4 years ago and German Swedish French was my favourite one stop shop for van bits. The highstreet type lure to easy T25 shopping, the Halfords for V-dubs. Slowly but surely the parts I fitted from there needed premature replacement. Both track rod ball joint rubbers from GSF didn't last from ...
