Rock and roll bed mattress

Has anyone bought the foam mattress from jk? If so how comfortable are they? Don't really want the faff of having to carry a memory foam topper with me everywhere. Was thinking of getting a king foam mattress from ikea and cutting it into sections to use with the rock and roll bed as I know there pr...

Re: Stiff gear changes

Haven't given the clutch or hydrolics a thought! Was just assuming it was linkage or old oil causing it. Will have to look at it at the weekend.

Re: Stiff gear changes

It's still stiff with engine off. There's no noises coming from the gearbox.

I was planning in renewing all the bushes in the linkage and hope it would solve the issue.

What oil do you recommend for the gearbox?

Stiff gear changes

My 4 speed box is getting harder to change gear. I can find gears no problem but just getting into the gears is the problem. It's stiff to change and it won't just slot into gear. Seems to be worse when warm. Is my gear linkage at fault or does it need a oil change or could it be the box it's self? ...

Re: Van cover

Typical there sold out. Wrong time of year to buy one! Mine is a tin top with a low roof rack, I'm guessing a tin top cover will be fine.

Re: Time to

Thanks for taking the time to share the info guys. It's been a busy day at work and tapatalk wasn't working so I haven't been able to reply. I'll do a little more reading over the weekend, it looks like an EJ20 could be an option if the right one comes along. For now I think I'll try and find the n...

Re: Time to

Isn't there a company in Australia that do kits to put the gears out of a Subaru box into the VW box. I looked at them once but can't remember the name. They were selling bolt In boxes for $2500 I think. No cheap but would transform the van I think.

Re: Time to

I have a ej20 which is absolulty fine but I do think I wish I did have a little more. The ej20 is apparently 115 hp and the ej2.5 is 160hp! When mine gives up I know what will replace it!

Re: Subaru lowered sump *pics*

I paid £440 for it but bought two engine mounts from them. I did ring rjes and he said he gave up with designing them. Don't get it there's so much more that bloke could do but hasn't bothered. Shame really.
