Recommendations for bodywork?
Can anyone recommend a garage in the South East (it is in Bornemouth at the moment, and would need collecting from there) to do some bodywork and a respray? The cost I am being given by the garage where it is at keeps going up and up, and is now double the initial estimate which is a bit of a blow. ...

Re: Engine number/size

Have looked into it a bit today, and apparently you could get a 1.8 but they had to be imported specially? It looks like it is a VW variant 412 engine modified to go in the back of a camper, and were used in the T2 also.
WOuld really like to get more info about it tho.

Re: Engine number/size
Info seems to contradict itself, says on wiki that it the type 4 engine was used, but the original spec for the T25 says 1.6 or 2ltr, so how would you have actually purchased a 1.8? Some kind of special edition? Mine was first registered 4th feb 1980 so is a very early model.

Re: Engine number/size
Thanks guys! Yes i realised it was likely to be a 1.8 but my logbook says it is 18ltr. I have to jump through hoops to get DVLA to change the engine size from 18000cc to 1800cc!
Is is a good robust engine? It has 95k on the clock. So this engine has been fitted as an afterthought and isn't original?

Log book says 18000cc which is 18.0ltr engine..! They've found an extra zero somewhere. Engine is air-cooled so cant...

Engine number/size
The V5 for my 1980 T25 states the engine size it 18000cc. Which is wrong obviously. I know the engine number which starts AN, but not sure how i can find the engine size from the engine number? Can anyone advise?

Re: Updating an interior..
Found these guys http://www.doors2size.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; who will make up some doors for me, with vinyl and will provide the vinyl for me to cover the rest of the units. So going to have a go at doing it myself! Watch this space

Re: Updating an interior..
I thought the carpet looked more complex, covers pretty much all up the sides, the roof etc, and i think it would need to be done properly for it to look the mutts nuts, and like i say, i would probably injure myself :D Thinking i can sort the interior furniture out. If anyone wants to do the carpet...

Re: Updating an interior..

I thought it was a bit pricey, but my first camper so not sure what to expect. Can anyone recommend someone for doing the carpet lining in the South East? Have looked ...

Re: Updating an interior..
Could do, but would like all the rest recovered too, and I'm not exactly handy (If I try DIY something ends up bleeding or on fire). Think I would rather hand it over to someone to do the lot. I just want to avoid ripping what is otherwise a good interior out, want to make good and update what is al...

Updating an interior..
My T25 is being restored at the moment, although the interior has become a bit of an afterthought. I have a quote for £750 to replace all the carpeting/lining which really needs doing as it is degrading and falls to bits if you touch it! The interior generally looks solid enough, but has been retro ...
