Re: auto box
I was travelling down to Cornwall from Surrey in 2009 when my torque converter and autobox decided to part company at Plymouth (2.1l). Bolts sheared - apparently a known problem with this engine/box? Anyway, upshot was a recon box because, when removed, found that the casing was cracked to b*ggery -...

Re: Auto gearbox service in the Surrey area

Re: Exhaust has threaded bolt hole on Manifold

Re: Auto gearbox service in the Surrey area
Yeah, why not...I changed the head gasket on a geriatric Polo once (and it worked afterwards - big miracle) so this can't be too challenging, right...?
Would be good to get a 6-speed box fitted - fuel economy from the 3-speed it truly shocking...

Auto gearbox service in the Surrey area
Hi there, first to say hello to this forum. This is my second post - the first being about 5-mins ago on the 'general' forum... Anyway, does anyone have any good recommendations for an auto gearbox servicer in the Surrey area (or thereabouts)? I have a 2.1i watercooled Autosleeper Trident (1990); no...

Child sleeping solutions in an AS high-top
Hi there, new to this forum, so firstly greetings all! My wife and I are venturing out in our 1990 2.1i AS Trident baby for the first time since our other baby was born (she's now two). We have a freestanding awning with double sleeping area and the usual AS double bed arrangement. It's a high top, ...
