Glad it was useful. I've always got panels etc from Brickwerks or AH Schofield.

Re: Rear swing arm mounting brackets.
Vinnie is back on the road this weekend after doing this very job (and a million other jobs). I cut the existing bolt out, then fabricated this, which replicates the bolt in-situ with a hard stop against the inner bracket flange. https://photos.app.goo.gl/gbunve8bPeJe5sDC9 I tacked a bracket to the...

Re: 1988 T25 diver door wont lock
maybe the lock barrel has corroded into the housing, dissimilar metals. I've had to do Vinnie a few times over the years, and again only today! Open the door, at the level of the handle there's a cut-out in the edge of the seal channel, pull the seal away and you'll see a cross-head screw. Undo th...

Yep, ditto! Maybe this is a new challenge - whose van is most (or least) like Trigger's Broom ? !!I think I might have bought an entire van in kit form by the time I'm finished

Re: 1.9DG Airfilter housing clips
Took a punt on these from Amazon, £8.19 for 2 clips-

And they work! Slightly wider but work fine.

1.9DG Airfilter housing clips- Update- Solution found :-)
Evening from Argyll.
Vinnie has the square air filter. Of the 4 clips that hold the upper & lower halves of the filter housing together, only 2 are left, and they're on their last legs. I can't seem to find replacements anywhere online. Anyone found a suitable replacement?
Thanks,
Rob

Re: Problems starting - just a click
Had similar, also a 1.9 DG. I'd added a relay to the trigger wire a few years ago. Then got the 'click' but no action from the starter. Turned out it was the solenoid - it was being thrown, hence the click, but the big heavy copper contact in the end was worn, so not closing the high current circ...

Yes added holes + grommets when I did the O/S so will do that again.

Re: Sliding door sill replacement
I'm doing this job on Vinnie at the moment. A question for the hive mind - how do you paint the inside surfaces of the channel for the sliding door seal? There's return edges so surfaces inside are hidden from an aerosol or brush. Anyone got a creative solution?
Thanks,
Rob

Re: is my maisie 1.9 dg slow?
Sounds similar to Vinnie. Once up to cruising speed he's happy, but add an incline and he's immediately slowing down. Just very little torque in our DG's for propelling 2+tons uphill. And we have a lot of hills in Argyll - sorry to all other road users!!!

No, the outrigger is the inverted U shaped structure that runs directly from the JP inwards towards the centre of the van.

Re: Rear Springs Replacement - Compression Tool
Is it possible the upper spring seat & 'top hat' is corroded and the top of the spring isn't locating centrally? I went to replace Vinnie's rear springs last year as the rear had dropped so assumed broken springs. Turned out the upper mount was rotten both side, so the springs (both intact!) h...
