been getting a constant whirring noise from engine (1900 water cooled) whilst driving for a couple of weeks . yesterday though temperature went right up and water was bubbling after only a mile drive. any ideas what might be? water pump possible?

coolant pipes
just been told overheating on water cooled van is down to coolant pipes full length of van rotting and been advised to change to nylon pipes . anybody any idea how much of a job are to change? also are there lots of different sizes of pipe. cheers
