Re: Holdsworth Gas Struts - help needed Brighton
I dont know if its like the Devon ones, they are under tension when the roof is at full height. What this means is you have to compress them to fit them. A hellish job  . In the end I had to make a tool (jig) to hold them the correct length until I fitted them, then I pulled the roof down a tad...

Re: Electrolux 122
Well, still no joy. Jet is cleaned properly, but still wont light. I’m beginning to wonder if the pressure regulator on the bottle is faulty resulting in less Psi (it is 30 years old). I’m guessing this would mean the gas passing through the jet would be insufficient to reach the sparker. The jet is...

Re: Electrolux 122
:ok Had a dig through the old paperwork for the van and found the Devon wiring diagram. The red wire from the fuse box is the feed. The earth has vanished but easy to make something up. No idea what the earth cable attached to the fridge switch is for, cause the diagram only shows two terminals not 3!

Re: Electrolux 122
Thanks, I suspect I may not have cleaned the jet properly. A tip given on the wiki sight says use a strand of copper wire. That should do cause brass is tougher than copper. Will disconnect the main pipe and I think there is a filter at the other end, and clean through as well. Not sure about the el...

Electrolux 122
The Electrolux 122 fridge in my T25 Devon is playing up. Its the gas and 12volt only version. Its always slow to light after being laid up over the winter, but no joy this time. It was sparking nicely so I pulled it out to check the gas was getting through. I hooked up the bottle directly and stripp...

Just need to check the dimensions of an original.

Failing that, something from this site should work.

Re: Replacing fuel lines
Where ever you source it from make sure it is the latest modern hose that can take ethanol.eg.

The older stuff deteriorates way too fast due to modern fuel.

Expansion Tank Hoses
I want to replace all the hoses to the petrol expansion tanks with the latest R9 hose that is resistant to modern fuels. Question is what size are the hose, ID. 5.6mm or 7.6mm or a mixture of both? http://www.advancedfluidsolutions.co.uk/saej30r10-r9-r7-fuel-injection-hose-95-c.asp" onclick=&qu...

Re: Devon camper electrics
Somewhere I have the original wiring diagram supplied with my Devon. Unfortunately I dont have a scanner. The set up is very simple. There was a red wire to the car battery and a black earth that supply the system. The white box contains the relay for the fridge. A wire goes from the coil to the fri...
