Re: Bi-LED Lights, now in...

Don't know 100% Aidan, but there's tons of defenders running about the place with them and they now have an 'E' mark on the RHD version.

Re: Earth for Sterling

Pete, you're bang on with the boat assumption. All electrical installs on boats require seperate earths. Re the cable and terminals, technically they should be crimped and not soldered. Not on the shop yet, but if anyone is interested in a Weaco CR50 then get in touch, we can get them.

Not sorted out the fitting kit completely yet, but it's coming. :ok

Re: Maybe caving in and buying a Waeco CR 50

In order to keep everything matching the rest of my cabinets, I removed the interior plastic trays, backing, seal and hinges from my old fridge door then cut up the door to make my new cabinet parts

Nice work by the way! Looks real tidy!

Just to let people know, we will have the CR50 available on CVC very soon and are planning to offer it with a fitting kit to make the draw etc easy peasy.

Re: 12v compressor: anyone used this one?

one tucked behind the rear inspection hatch (no need to open the tailgate) I had mine mounted outside the van for quite a while, but decided to move it inside the tail gate as i have to open it anyway, that's where i store the leads. Also the connector was suffering corrosion from being out in the ...

Re: 12v compressor: anyone used this one?

Yup, that's right Tom. I've got an anderson connector mounted just inside the tailgate hooked up to the start battery. If i need to give or receive a jump start then its just a case of plugging in the cables rather than having to move everything out of the way and open the engine bay. At some point ...

Re: Tyre Sizes

You won't be able to fit Al's option on a 14" without extensive and expensive mods. !!!!

Yes, very good point Baz. I should've pointed that out really so as not to be misleading.

In fact, i think it's cheaper to buy the Weddle 3rd and 4th gears and get Aidan to rebuild your box.

Re: Tyre Sizes

I remember the very same sucking of teeth sound when i went to see my local tyre guys to fit my most recent set of tyres, must admit though we were all concerned if they were going to fit on or not.... I took these size comparison shots at Aidans, the smallest one is a standard 14" 205 tyre iir...
