Autohomes Kameo inside ceiling covering.
The textured ceiling covering on my Kameo is cracked and splitting around the central vent, probably due to past water ingress. Has anyone replaced this, and, if so, what with?

Re: Engine oil changes.
A couple of interesting points here.
(1) Is it better to use cheap oil and change often, or use good quality semi-synthetic and change less often?
(2) VW say their own coolant does not need to be changed, unless it shows obvious signs of deterioration.

Engine oil changes.
My Haynes T25 manual suggests oil changes at 5000 miles or every six months if the mileage is less. I would imagine that few low-mileage vehicles have their oil changed as frequently as this, with oil the price it is. Many campers only do a couple of thousand miles a year. But why the time factor? O...

Re: Numberplates.
Thanks for the replies. I have found that Plate-maker do the old font, not for road use.
I have obtained a pair, purely for decoration, of course, and they are excellent.

Re: Numberplates.
The damaged one is a standard reflective one, not pressed, but with the old wide letters. I have only been offered the new narrow font so far.

Numberplates.
The front numberplate on my 1986 T25 has been damaged. Is it possible to get a replacement with the older wide letters (2 1/4 inch) rather than the current type? The new typeface doesn't look right to me on an old vehicle.

Re: Main beam warning lamp.
Thanks. Any sources for the bulb? Vw don't seem to recognise it. How do I get the speedo cable off? Mine has been butchered sometime and its not obvious how it releases.

Main beam warning lamp.
Is it possible to change this without taking the instrument panel out, perhaps by releasing the screws and easing the panel back? I don't want to risk another fault by disturbing everything. Where is the best place to get another bulb?

Re: Budget tyres.
Thanks, everyone.
My tyres are old ones, they just say 185R14C, no aspect ratio mentioned.
Does this mean the ration is 80?

Budget tyres.
The MOT man says I need new tyres on my T25 (185R14C 6 ply). The present tyres are Michelin but are perishing. I do about 2000 miles per annum, or less. I can't really afford new Michelins. Kwikfit offered "Event", but I'm hesitant about real cheapos. Any suggestions anyone? At my mileage ...

Kameo Vynyl striping.
Hi all, new member, but have had a Kameo for about nine years. The decorative striping on the body is starting to deteriorate, breaking away at the top and fading. I know the makers are out of business, but I would welcome suggestions as to the best way of replacing the stripes. I want to keep the l...
