Cant help much as only popped ours up once , but , you push it up manually . Theres no pull down straps on ours. There is a man in Dorset that replaces them , not cheap , havent found any others though. Hopefully someone else can be more help to you soon . Julie

Thanks all for advice . Dont really want hightop as wont fit under the vanport . Also we're not tallest of people so we dont need the extra height. Anyone have any advice on fixing / replacing roof as hydraulic ram has come off and burst through the front plastic surround . Have put van under 'van'port for now in case it rains . Thanks .

Thanks for reply , van was sitting straight . Have since checked with him and he took off yellow two striped . He now has ordered other ones for a type 2 as suggested by spring manufacturer . Will post back when done . kev

just had new rear springs fitted at garage and the van is sitting about inch and half lower than the front. Mechanic says they are the right springs listed for the van . It is an autohome conversion 1989 . Any ideas? kev
