Re: Westy on-board battery charger.

Cheers for your reply Martin....................the cooling fan sounds a good idea..................I expect like me, you store lots of gear under the seat, which probably doesn't help. Also might have to put in a grill of some sort to allow better air circulation.

Westy on-board battery charger.

Hi Guys My Westy Atlantic has an on-board OE battery charger, it charges both batteries when hooked up ok. It is fitted under the R n R seat......my only concern is that it gets very hot after a while......now I realise that any sort of charger gets warm when charging but this seems a bit excessive....

Front lower panel

Hi Guys Need to replace the lower front panel on my WBX Westy in the not too distant future. Initial search for suppliers of said panel has bought up 2 so far, VWHeritage @ £82.00 and JK's at £99.50. My questions are: Is there other suppliers out there, if so names please And quality rather than pri...

Re: Plastic bottle in nearside wheel arch?

I found a plastic bottle under that arch, it has a single pipe into the top, and two out the bottom. Any ideas what its for? There doesn't seem to be anyway to fill it up? Any thoughts folks? As shepster has said, they're expansion bottles for the fuel tank, but be wary moving the pipework about to...

Re: 2.1 DJ green plastic vacuum resevoir........

Hi there. Does your vehicle have a catalytic converter just before the main silencer box on the exhaust system. If not, no worries, as I believe the green plastic "ball "cock"" thingy is part of the system where converters are fitted. However, my westy has a 2.1 engine, had a cat...
