Recommended engine oil for CU engine
Dear Forum,
I have a 2.0 L CU engine - a RemTec replacement from South Africa that is just over a year old and has done about 4000 miles.
I want to buy some spare oil in case of top up needs, what would you all recommend ??

Re: Zig Unit
Thank you 1664. I am assuming you mean the row of fuses linked to the leisure battery, not the ones in the front behind the glove box ?
I am keen to learn, and have half a brain, could you recommend a good publication for me to read and get started ?

Zig Unit
My mechanic has set up a leisure battery system for me under the rear seat with a mains hook up. The zig unit that is mounted on the wardrobe unit does not appear to work. It is a Zig CP400v if that makes sense to anyone. It has a switch for car battery and 'caravan' battery. When I switch to carava...

Re: Starter battery
I too have experienced freaky starter moments. My peculiarity is that my battery loses power when it sat on the drive (no surprises there) so I always trickle charge before I plan to go out. She starts fine, I drive down the road for 10mins to fill up with fuel before hitting the motorway and she re...

Best sealant for my high-top
Can you recommend the right sealant to use around the base of my high top where it joins the edge of the bodywork inside the gutter rail. To cut a ling story short I had the high top taken off and rotten metal along the interior cut out and new welded in. So far so good, unfortunately then the garag...

Dartmouth - great for families
We have just spent the weekend at Woodlands Grove in Dartmouth. Lovely, friendly, clean site and a great theme park for children with free entry if you stay 2 nights or more. The theme park has lots of treehouses, climbing, rare breeds farm as well as water rides if your children are old enough (ove...

Sudden loss of charge
I have an intermittent fault on my van. Often, when I have started the van with no problems I will drive along and then pull into a petrol station and switch off. Then when I go to start again in 2 or 3 minutes the 2 dash lights come on and the engine fails to turn with the lights flickering . It's ...

Re: Adams Farm, Countryfile
We stayed there 2 years ago when our twins were 3 and had a lovely time. Park was really interesting and facilities good but basic.

Radio / CD radio for T25
Can anyone recommend a car radio that will fit in the aperture provided in the dash of my T25. I have a replacement one that came with the van but it does not fit and sits proud of the dash. Removal reveals why - the cables for the heating controls prevent it sliding back far enough into the dash to...

Moores Motors in Clevedon. Family business, Clive does the engines and his son Sam does all the bodywork.
It won't be the cheapest but knowledge and quality is first class.

Re: Upgrading to a water cooled ?
HUGE thanks to Metal Mick8y. Following viewing of the photos I was sent he has given me some sagely advice and saved me time and potentially a lot of money. Back to my cosmetically challenged air cooled high top - she is lovely really !!!

Upgrading to a water cooled ?
I currently own a 2.0 CU air cooled high top. I am thinking of selling in order to buy a 1986 Autosleeper High Top with a 1900cc water cooled petrol engine. I haven't seen it yet but has been described as not having 2 previous owners with a good service history. The only issue they mention is ' the ...
