Stick with a big merc rim (as big mercs are very heavy) and just get the bolt holes drilled out from m12 to m14 (centre bore is the right size for vans already)

I have merc rims on my van and they've been fine for a good 6 months or so

Alternitivly you could just buy the hinges from JK (£50 ish) and make yourself a bed out of MDF or ply, thats what I did, might find it'd cost you more to "make" the split bed fit than to make a new one mines been in for a year now and have had no problems :D

A 96 golf is most likely a TDI in which case you'll need the ecu etc Best bet is to look out for an AAZ engined golf or passat 1.9 TD basically the same engine as the 1.6 and is mechanical not electrical injection The sort of car you'll be looking for is a 1993-1995 Golf or passat (K up to about M m...

1Z Has much more complex wiring a bit more power (90 bhp) but like above said it's electronically controlled

AAZ Is much more like the original 1.6 just bigger, just put one in mine, will let you know how it goes when I get it running, and you can tune them to 100 Bhp quite easily

Ah! Well i used the JX pick up on the AAZ pump, would this cause this problem?

Sounds like that could be the problem as the crank will only turn so far?

Pretty sure its a diesel gearbox, we seperated the engine and gearbox again last noght to see if it was the gearbox causing issues and the engine still stuck after turning about 90 degrees

Reckon the crank is sticking, going into a garage tomorrow to find out for sure

juust a thought, did you change the cambelt? if so might not be lined up correctly causing the piston to contact the valves hence it only turning so far. Interesting, was taking it in to have the cambelt done (engine has a warranty, and that requires that theres proof of a new cambelt, so was waiti...
