Re: Replacing exhaust system teaser
I've just been checking out the exhaust options. I've gone for the Brickwerks full kit (luckily they had one on the shelf, so no 8 weeks wait :-)), but during a call to them, Simon said that the VWspeedshop exhaust system is made by the same people who make the one that Brickwerks sell. So that perh...

Tailgate Vent Lock - available?
I'm after getting a "Tailgate Vent Lock" for a T25, that does the same job as this one that's available for the T4. http://www.justkampers.com/shop/tailgate-vent-lock-j12097.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Does anyone know if one is available, and where to get...

Re: Gas servicing - what do you do?
the guy who I found on http://www.dometicapproved.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; came today - he fixed and serviced the fridge, so it's now working great.
It cost £63, which isn't cheap I know, but it's much cheaper than a new fridge.

Re: heater controls - daft question.
Thanks for the replies ....
It's definitely got four levers (I may be daft, but I can count
), and it's water-cooled.

heater controls - daft question.
Yes, I am stupid.
I'd perhaps stand a chance of working it out if my fan worked, but it doesn't, so....
There's those four levers which control the heater settings - but what does each lever actually do?

Re: Gas servicing - what do you do?
I've just been hunting around for someone to fix the gas fridge in my recently-bought camper. I started off calling caravan suppliers with workshops - and each one said they're booked up until July. :( I then tried using http://www.gassaferegister.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);ret...

Re: getting at the heater fan
That's it. In mine the clips were not much use as the casing seemed to be sealed. Be patient and mind your fingers I nearly lost my hand  . If I have to replace the fan again I will pay good money to someone or stay cold. Thanks for confirming that I was trying to split the right bit. And th...

Re: ignition light on continually
Hi, As well as checking the wire as Ian suggests, also worth checking the multi-pin connector on the bottom of the instrument panel. The connectors ofetn corrode / burn out causing all sorts of fun dashboard lighting! Cheers, Alex thanks, but I bought the van with a live 'buzzer of doom' (as well a...

Re: getting at the heater fan
just to double-check I'm not being a complete numptie, I've marked in red on the pic below where I think the unit should split apart.
Can someone please confirm if this is right or not?

Re: ignition light on continually
I reckon I've done more than enough miles now to know that the battery is definitely charging. Plus it was checked by a 2nd garage that did the wheel bearings for me, and they said it was charging too. So having failed at changing or fixing the heater fan (see other thread ;)), this problem is the l...

Re: getting at the heater fan
i got a screw driver out. I even got a hacksaw out, and tried sawing down the middle of the three tabs down the left-hand side of the unit (as shown in the photo). Whatever has been used to stick the two pieces together ain't shifting by either method. For those of you saying it's easy enough: there...

Re: getting at the heater fan
i've come to the conclusion that the fan housing has been glued together - there's no way in hell that's coming apart short of me smashing it.
So that's me with no heater fan forever.

getting at the heater fan
I've got a dead fan, and have stripped the dash down to try and get at it. But how do I actually get at the fan? I don't want to poke at things, do the wrong thing and break something. Currently, what I've got looks like this (pic taken from the wiki on this website) https://club8090.co.uk/wiki/imag...
