What's the symptoms of a stuck intake valve. How do you fix it

Starts OK, popping on idle and deceleration and loss of power. I've checked all the usual suspects . Valve clearances all tight as I have hydraulic tappets but will check cylinder 1 intake and exhaust valves again in case there is a problem with them.

Noticed the right hand side manifold on my dells is hotter than the left hand side, especially the back port near cylinder 1 is the hottest. What can cause this. Also number 1 plug is very sooty.

The carbs was set up originally on the rolling road about 6 years ago when they were fitted. The van used to run lovely but started to loose power on acceleration recently especially up inclines. Forgot to mention we've done loads of checks for airleaks and valves , clearances ,manifold gaskets timing etc.

2ltr cu Aircooled . Electric fuel pump and regulator set to 2.5 psi. I done a basic fuel flow test and it worked out at approximately 1 litre per minute. Done a compression test a few weeks ago . Done twice straight after each other to get a good average reading. Cylinder 1 = 115,115 cylinder 2= 120...

I took my van to the rolling road guy just for a basic diagnostics test to try and find out why the van is still popping and not running very well. Was told he suspected fuel getting into the oil for some reasons ,over fueling from the dellorto drla 40s carbs likely,and getting past the piston rings...

Just repeated the test with cold engine and still the same amount of bubbles.

Just a thought, if there was a leak around the gasket but the air was blowing out instead of sucking in would the engine sound different.

Popping, misfire noise, seems more on deceleration. Sounds more like underneath.

I have discovered a leak around the manifold to head gasket. I sprayed soapy water around it and it starts making bubbles. It seems to be blowing air not sucking in . I've also tried it with carb cleaner but made no difference in the revs of the engine. Is this an intake valve leak and how do I find...
