Many thanks for all the advice. Now am a happy trailer owner with all the right equipment. Just need a few practice sessions before Vanwest in a couple of weeks time.

Thanks for all advice, i just knew there would be an answer from someone. I'll get a 12volt booster I think. try that first before the big fat ariel option.

Andy, tried what you suggested, made sure both ends were properly inserted, no joy Im afraid. Maybe, as 72 Bug says, I only have a mono jack lead. OO er

The Red Shoot Camp site is lovely and there is a pub of the same name attached to it, delicious food. Beautiful walks nearby and set in stunning countryside.
