Looking for tips on fitting Starter
It's a 1989 1.6td, I removed the old starter easy enough. Basically, disconnected battery and from the engine compartment I reached in and disconnected the spade connector on the solenoid, removed the lower bolt on the clutch slave bracket, removed the two mounting bolts, swung the clutch bracket ba...

Re: Winter Campervan-ing`
Ours is a 900w nice and small, but does the trick. I like the fact it can be left on all night, no noise/fumes to worry about. Thanks! I'd never even considered one, but I suppose to save on gas and consume electricity you've already paid for on a site, it sounds a great idea. Just bought one on 't...

Re: Winter Campervan-ing`
I've got a Truma blown air heater which works well right down to -20c outside and still comfy.
I read a lot of folk using oil filled heaters on ehu. Would be really interested to know what rating/size is used?

Re: AAZ Pump Timing and Cold Start Device
Cheers Ewen, No its definitely configured correct, in fact I've been running around with the AAZ engine for around 4 years. The problem has really only developed recently. Its coincidence that I've just completed a 1000ish mile round trip in Ireland and it ran a treat. It starts first fire with the ...

AAZ Pump Timing and Cold Start Device
After searching through the forum, I'm looking for some pointers or help on a problem which I think maybe Injection Pump Timing? I've got a AAZ 1.9td fitted with the manual cold start device from when the van had the JX engine. I've been experiencing problems with getting over 3000rpm without pullin...

Re: Is October too late?
The beauty of a Westfalia (it's the only one I have experience of  ) is that they are definite year round campers. The insulation, double glazing, inboard water tank, and the heaters make it ideal for all year round trips. I've never stopped for the season... This was just north of Braemore in...

Westy Roof Light Liner?
This is my first post on the forums, a cracking site which I've been reading for ages. I can normally find the answer by searching through the forums, but this one has got me stumped... I've got a 89 Westfalia Joker High Top. I'm not sure if its the original roof light, it's an electric version oper...
