Timing Belt Alignment problems.
Morning All, My injection pump was leaking in December so took the bus to a diesel specialist who rebuilt the pump and refitted it with a new timing belt and tensioner (I supplied from Brickwerks). In August, and a few hundred miles since the rebuild, the bus was hard to start, eventually grey mist...

Re: EFB Battery???
Pretty sure its just a re-stickered battery and not deep cycle. The original battery was an xplora, since then the others are what Alpha Batteries have supplied under the warrenty.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: EFB Battery???
Hi,
No, if anything it's the opposite--the battery is charged continuously (daily driver) but loose its ability to hold a charge. I parked in my drive 6 hours ago and the battery is already down to 11.8 with no load.
Maybe a Bosch silver is the way to go?!
Thanks

EFB Battery???
Hi All, Has anyone tried an EFB Stop Start battery as a leisure battery? They seem to sound allot more robust than standard lead acid. something like this- http://www.alpha-batteries.co.uk/110-nordstar-efb-carbon-stop-start-car-battery" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. The 'l...

Re: Dash out, now won't start??
OK just a bit of an update, the bus is alive!!! And I am a numpty (now that is much easier to live with than a broken bus.). So that totally defunct Bosch alarm I found buried under the dash is also an immobiliser that's not so defunct- it was just wired up wrong. Headlight mod is also working (than...

Dash out, now won't start??
Morning all, So I've had the dash out this week to sort the blower, servo, wiper spindles, clean earth's and do California Dreamin's headlight relay mod. Just got it back together last night and it won't turn over— nothing when I turn the key. Wipers, washers, indicators, side lights, dash lights al...

Re: Damage free removal of sliding door card?
Hi, are those the kind of bent/shaped bits of bits of plastic with notches? I've tried a couple of them and the trim clips won't budge-- I'll keep trying. Thanks.

Damage free removal of sliding door card?
Evening all,
Is there a magic technique or tool for removing the panel clips from sliding door with out causing any damage to the card?
Is it best to drill them out?
Thanks
Blakie

Re: B pillar fuse box- no strip lights??
All sorted. Some how the wires for the interior lights and door switches all got cut (really cleanly like they were cut with scissors) half way up the n/s A pillar- how odd, but all sorted now with new ones.

Servo one way valve?
Happy sunny morning to all!
What a day to be out under the bus!
I'm replacing the vacuum pipe from the Servo, but there isn't a one way valve (black & yellow VW 191 611 933)- should there be one? I have a stock ATE servo.
Cheers,
Blakie

Re: B pillar fuse box- no strip lights??
Yeah much better to have the lights on the leisure. The weird thing is I can't seem to find the other end of the broken wire--lights were all working a little while ago. The bit I can't seem to work out/find is where the wire from the lights originally attached to the correct terminal on the rear of ...

Re: B pillar fuse box- no strip lights??
Morning Mocki,
Yeah that's what I was thinking, as usual there's some rather odd wiring going on.
Would you have any idea of the location/pin number? on the back of the fuse box where I'd find the wire to the strip lights?
Thanks Blakie
