Upgrading your radiator cooling
Well just finished replacing the old 2 speed fan with a much better Spal fan. Massive difference. I used a 16" Spal fan and swapped the temperature switch from a two stage switch to a single stage which opens sooner and shuts off at a lower temperature. The fan appears to be quieter as well. Th...

Re: Intermittent starter issue
Tried a couple. Being the 2.1 starter turning over a vr6 could be that the little fella struggles. Problem I have is the space doesn't allow for a bigger one. I know Jed does a high torque one but its pricey and not sure if it will fit. Might have to bight the bullet.

Intermittent starter issue
Hi guys. Been a while. Been busy with life. The vans had a mass of upgrades recently including fresh batteries which I had hoped would help solve an intermittent problem. It hasn't. Basically ever now and again the van won't turn over. I have replaced the starter, cleaned every earth point I could f...

Re: Vr6 engine into type 25 is it possible
I get about 19/20mpg which isn't a million miles away from a stock 2.1. My van is heavy. Camping interior and full of crap most of the time and its a syncro. I would expect a couple more mpg if I had went to the taller gearing. I know my mates 16" Syncro with the 2.1 was doing around 24mpg. If ...

Re: Vr6 engine into type 25 is it possible
Yep I've got the 2.9 Corrado lump in mine. Stonking engine. It is a big beast and you are best to remove the thermostat housing from the side (or back in the van engine bay) and relocating. That way you don't need to butcher the engine bay. The 2.1 box is a pretty good match for the engine as well a...

My set now fitted. Lovely. The set that came off will be for sale once I blast and refurbish the calipers. Will supply with new discs and pads.

Re: SA front callipers
Well new ones are on. And old ones are to be refurbished. If anyone wants a set of refurbished SA calipers and new 280mm discs and pads let me know. I am guessing they may be only good for 16" wheels.
I will take some detailed pictures of the calipers when I get a chance.

Depends - Mechanical pump or efi - weight of vehicle and condition of engine. I got 30ish mpg in my syncro with a mechanical pump.
