OK good news problem now sorted. Looks like the MrClutch guys had put the support plate for the rear shift rod back in the wrong place. There are two lugs sticking out of the gearbox case which the support plate is bolted to. What they seem to have done is attached the support plate to the back of t...

Thanks for the responses. Haven't had time to get under the bus yet. Hopefully I can get this done this coming weekend so I'll let you know how I got on. I'll start with the pinch bolt you mention kyleewyleecotote/funbus3, but where is it? Sorry no Haynes manual, working entirely by instinct  ...

Gear Selection out a bit
Just had a new clutch fitted at my local Mr Clutch. It's an 87 1.9 dg waterbox, 4 speed gearbox. All's fine with the clutch, it's just the gear selection is slightly out. I can get all gears but in 3rd and 4th the gear knob seem a little nearer my leg than it used to be. The main problem though is t...

Metal Water Pipe round top of Engine Bay
On the metal water pipe round top of engine bay, have spung a leak in one section, other areas very rusted so looks like the whole lot will need to be replaced. What's the thing called, and where best to get one? Just a thought, any mileage in using the copper micro-bore piping they used to use for ...

Blown Clutch Slave Cylinder
After finding floppy clutch pedal and then empty reservoir, topped up and bled the clutch fluid. Next day pedal floppy again and clutch fluid gone. Rubber collar was very moist. So guessing something wrong with the slave cylinder. Can you buy seals and whatever to refurbish or is it a new slave cyli...

Thanks for the response Tony Quite right fuse three is interior/reading lights, clock and radio. No clock but I do have a radio. OK measured the amps, 0 on the 10A setting, 3.4 on the 200m setting. Just curious though why I got a reading when switched to the voltage setting. Is it posssible I'm on c...

Battery Running Down
Recently it seems every time I get into the bus it won't start or only just. :( Battery charged but soon looses the charge. It's quite low now, seems to be about 11.5v discharge from battery when nothing running so did the take out fuses one by one and it seems fuse three is the problem. Mind you st...

Dont know about the upholstery but for the lining the stuff I'm using is called Stikatak Superspray Adhesive. Picked it up at one of the shows, so don't know where you'd normally get it. It says on the can it's for carpet tiles and the like so I guess you should be able to pick up at a decent carpet...

Oil's coming from somewhere
Well all packed up and ready to go on the first weekend of the year. Dog dutifully snoozing on rear seat. Three miles down the road and oil warning light starts flashing, OK maybe needs a top up, stopped at garage to get some oil. On returning to bus noticed small pool of oil on the floor. Hmm top u...
