I meant weld a bolt onto the filler plug,which is seized in its hole,in order to get a socket onto the bolt. The drain plug under the box doesn't look too bad,but ive not tried to move that one yet.

Anybody got any ideas on how to remove a gearbox filler/oil level plug. It is seized in,and rounded off, so that the 17mm tool is turning,but not the plug. Ive tried lots of plusgas,and tapping it with a small chisel/drift,but that's just damaging the plug. Is it possible to tackweld a bolt onto the...

Im in the process of replacing the clutch slave cylinder on my 1986 1.9 petrol,DG engine caravelle. To remove the cylinder I had no choice but to cut through the pipe where it meets the slave cyl.(the pipe is the plastic white one which goes from slave to chassis just to the left/front of gearbox).I...

Gearbox mount bush/bracket
Hi.Ive got a bit of engine judder when setting off in 1st,<,and in reverse>.The 4 engine mount rubbers seem ok,but theres a bit of play on the large round bush inthe mounting bracket at the front of the gearbox.Does anyone know how much play is ok,or the best way to check it properly.

HI does anybody know if its possible to test the reverse light switch on gearbox?,bulbs and fuse seem ok,but no reverse light..Also fog light not working,again fuse and bulb ok,going to look at switch on dash tomorrow ,.any ideas?

Does anybody know if its possible to buy the black wheel-arch trims, which Ive seen in a couple of magazine articles,fitted on synchro models?They look to be made of a black plastic type material and fit over the existing wheel arch.
