It's an offensive word anywhere. It actually means infidel in Arabic. Coming from the air cooled world I am erring on the side of caution and agreeing that the chap is a beetle fan. A random fact - beetles are called kewers in Afrikaans.

Would that be considered a modified vehicle and hence more difficult to insure?

Hi all, Am not a syncro owner (yet) but am looking into getting one. I have a 73 bay project I am restoring at the moment so have a bit of mechanical knowledge.
