It's an offensive word anywhere. It actually means infidel in Arabic. Coming from the air cooled world I am erring on the side of caution and agreeing that the chap is a beetle fan. A random fact - beetles are called kewers in Afrikaans.

Thanks Harry and Diamond, I saw that one after I posted my question. The only part that concerns me is "1.9td Seat Toledo engine, (needs a bit of tinkering and tlc)".
Would that be considered a modified vehicle and hence more difficult to insure?

Clutch replacement?

Hi all, Am not a syncro owner (yet) but am looking into getting one. I have a 73 bay project I am restoring at the moment so have a bit of mechanical knowledge. Then again bit of knowledge = scary thing! What would be involved in replacing a clutch on a syncro? Is it a DIY job? Or best done by a gar...
