Re: Advice in removing Autosleeper Decals

You need to get "Hagesan floor glue remover - extra strong" Dab it on using an old cloth. Then using a plastic pallet knife (like the wall paper removing knife but cheap and plastic from B+Q).get scraping carefully. Most comes off, wipe it off with a cloth and then just a spray of white sp...

Khyam or JustKamper's sun canopy

I got the Colman last year. Think it's just a canopy for their tents. The zip fitted great to my figure of 8. I would recommend it. Cheap, easy to put up and waterproof.

Toffe wheel

Just spent 3 days doing mine. Used a heat gun and a plastic wall paper remover pallet. I then used some floor glue remover and then tar remover to really easily get the glue off. Just had the same graphics put on and it looks awesome. My old graphics had been on over 25 years and had very bad crazin...

Re: Interim rust measures

Mine came back today from having a hole where the pop top meets the roof corner, the rear seams sorted (As well as they can be sorted without a full removal - the rust will be back in 3 years). some bubbling around the windscreen, not as bad as yours the front end stone chips removed and little bits...

Re: clicking sound when ignition key turned

Exact same thing happened to me yesterday. It was the starter motor. Got a friend to tap it with a hammer and I started it on the 3rd attempt. Got it home and it started 1st time this morning. Left work tonight and same thing, just a click. Got a mate to tap it and it started 2nd time. I've ordered ...

So the van cost £500, how much are you allowed to spend on it in the next 19months?

I too am a novice, yet it sounds like you need your gearbox totally sorted. Best thing to do is contact Aiden on here. See when he can fit you in. http://www.aidantalbot.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; People on hear swear by him and he's a really nice guy. Next big job ...

Re: Washer bottle

I'm pretty sure that there is an overflow device on it. If I fill mine right up, some comes out onto the drive. It's really easy to take the bottle off and give a good clean. Mine was mostly green. I also changed the pump as it wasn't too good. :ok

Re: Drive away awnings

We have a 2 year old outdoor momentum slightly larger than the Momentum Cayman. Never had an issue with it. There is plenty of room in it. We love that we can use it for storage of stuff we don't need where were off out in the van. We then use it as a place to sit up in and chat at night if the boys...

Re: pop top roofs which is best?

I have a Carthago - as well as a hi top, it has a pop top. Meaning height with the roof down for cooking etc and then extra room as the roof goes up like a westy (the top picture). Only ever seen 1 Carthago roof for sale a year ago on fleabay in Germany.

Re: Mileage Counter

Might be different with kph. Mines a 1989 with 6 digits. It's done 144,347 for the past year. Took it apart and then pushed and glued the green cog back to where it goes. It will now show that it's actually moved for the MOT in 2 weeks.
