Re: Repair 1.9DG then sell, or sell as a project?

You could break it down yourself and sell the usable parts (please at least try this), that would be the most interesting and you'd gain some knowledge along the way. You won't make your money back on a rebuild carried out by someone else. It won't be ~£500, believe me. Sent from my iPhone using Ta...

Repair 1.9DG then sell, or sell as a project?

Hi guys My 1.9DG recently lost power (low compression in cylinder 4), so I've decided to bite the bullet and convert it to a Subaru EJ20, as a good engine and RJES parts have become available. The conversion is being done this week, and the installers are happy to drop the 1.9DG to a local engine re...

Re: Garage for Subaru conversion in Manchester or North West?

if you have all the parts from a already converted van then id say do it yourself as you should be able to do most of it in a day or two :ok I wish I could! :) But I have no tools, zero knowledge and experience, or anywhere to do it other than on the roadside. I've got a workshop in Poynton, not do...

Re: Garage for Subaru conversion in Manchester or North West?

Stef at Mac VW in Stretford does drive in/out subaru conversions. He's always pretty busy though so you may need to wait a while before he could do it. Phone and ask him? 0161 866 9922 Thanks, dude. Yeah Stef was recommended to me by Richard @ RJES. I've tried him a couple of times, but I'm not get...

Garage for Subaru conversion in Manchester or North West?

Hi guys I'm struggling to find a garage or mechanic in or near(ish) Manchester to swap my 1.9DG for a Subaru EJ20 n/a. Can anyone help with suggestions? I've potentially sourced the engine. It's already been fitted to a T25, so has all the conversion parts and is pretty much ready to go. Just needs ...

Re: 12v system not working on hookup (1986 Autosleeper)

Re: the fridge, I've looked at the back and there is no additional mains elements from what I can see, and certainly not the full kit with thermostat that CJH suggested. But it's defo an RM122 and it did used to work on hookup, as did the lights! :) On a normal Autosleeper setup, I think 12v only wo...

Re: 12v system not working on hookup (1986 Autosleeper)

Hi Boxy, many thanks. Yep - I think I may have a bit of a DIY system! Here's a few pics... - the control panel above the cooker - a red light normally comes on when hooked up. - two boxes of tricks, one of which I think is a transformer, but they're both wired up to 240v. - close-up of the component...

12v system not working on hookup (1986 Autosleeper)

Hi there I own a 1985 T25 Autosleeper and am based in Manchester. The 12v system works perfectly, with a new 90ah leisure battery and split charging system recently fitted. My problem is that the 12v lights and water pump immediately turn off when hookup is plugged in, and the red hookup indicator o...

Green flashing light on dashboard?

Hi there

I have an '85 Autosleeper that has a round, green light on the dashboard to the right of the steering wheel.

It flashes on and off every so often, but I can't work out what it's related to and can find no reference of it anywhere online.

Can anyone help?

Cheers

Recommended bodyshop for respray in North West?

Hi there
Can anyone recommend a specialist campervan bodyshop in the North West? Preferably Cheshire or Greater Manchester.
I need the footwell panels replacing, all-over rust treatment and a full respray, and am happy to pay for a good job.
Cheers

Re: lights on warning buzzer

Does anyone know of a similar 'warning' solution for a 1986 van with the older-style electrical system?
