Just got back from the garage He's fitted a genuine VAG module, price is correct to, I just phoned the local stealership and they quoted me £127.28 . Just wish he has offered me an alternative asI would've went for the £30 part from GSF/Eurocar parts and saved the cash. Oh well I'm skint again with ...

I'm going to be paying him a visit with a calm level headed approach. 2 print-outs........... 1 from GSF's site and 1 from Euro car parts. 2 minutes in I'll no doubt have lost it and I'll more than likely be calling him everything under the sun , I'll also make sure if we don't come to some sort of ...

Re: Should I convert to LPG or.......

Hi Weejoe My engine is a 1985 1.9 GW(injection)Petrol engine with 160k on the clock. I am getting mine gassed at the end of the month. It makes sense. Never heard how your first trip went as you had a few mechanical probs. Did you go? Hi mate :) Yeah I went on the trip but sadly not with the camper...

Should I convert to LPG or.......

......save my pennies for a recon engine then have it converted to LPG ? The reason I ask is that my 1.9 petrol wasserboxer engine has done 130K miles, it also has a slight weep at the cylinder head gasket. I'm having sluggish driving issues where the van is getting splutterry when attempting big hi...

Just finished a 12 hour shift at work and got another one tomorrow so haven't been near the van. I'm wonderring if I could get away with any welding by having one of the guys at work cutting me some Stainless plate that would go over the rusty areas and beyond onto solid van, have it fixed to the va...

not sure if you can omit the iluminated circuit if you can do so as that'll run down your battery if it's constantly on. If you can't you might be worth installing a switch on the live side. I installed a ciggy lighter on the LB casing lid. simply ran a live cable off the +'ve terminal of the LB thr...

sorry mate no pics as yet, just discovered the problem tonight.

I'm gonna have a better look over the next day or two and take some pics.

the panel the hinges were rivited onto looks solid along most it's length, it looks like it's only corroded in the hinge areas themselves.

Pop-Top Hinge woes

Hi all The front two hinges on the pop top of my 85 Devon have come away :( Looks like a rust problem, the front ones rivets have come away from there fixing holes and it appears the middle one has taken away part of the roof itself. So whats the best way forward then ? Is it a visit to the welders ...

My cutting out issues

So my van is back at syncronutz It's cutting out after about 1/3 mile Could this be due to the overheating ? I had a leaky water pipe replaced somewhere just below the fuel pump. Does the system need bled ? Could the system be airlocked ? Could a faulty fan be the cause ? The temp gauge was up at ab...
