hi colin, i really don't think that is an option.. if i were to drive it, it would be over considerably long distances, and my clutch fluid would surely drain out every time i stepped on the clutch . . the guys at the vw garage did have it moving but then couldn't keep it going . . and also i think ...

yeh i understood that you meant 'if it is the slave cylinder' . . thanks for the clarification.. the leak is coming from a bit forward of the selector i think . . just in front of the gearbox.. or directly above the front of it .. if that makes sense . . anyway . . thanks for your consideration ewen.

well i got under the van this morning . . and tried to find the slave cylinder (or anything that might move when the clutch pedal is down) . . i couldn't find anything that resembled what google images shows as a slave cylinder . . i looked around where the pedal is (without removing any panels) and...

hello there fellow t25ers . . i have a 1.9 diesel and have been travelling extensively over the last few months when all of a sudden... my clutch has failed on me.. . or is it the gearbox?? all of a sudden i couldn't select any gears.. and when i could the clutch wouldn't work and i lurched forward ...

yes it is a 1.9 diesel [not turbo] but don't know exactly from which vw it came . . .
so would the quantities you provided, ian hulley, be correct for that engine?

when i had air before, i could see it because i had a transparent hose attached .. . but the replacement the garage put on is not ..
