T25 awning - Fiamma or Omnistor

Hello,

A friend and neighbour has an '86 T25 and has asked me to price up a side mounted awning. It looks like the options are an Omnistor 2000 (2.6m) or Fiamma F(45?) 2.6m. Could anyone comment on which might be better/easier to fit/better value and recommend a good place to purchase?

Many thanks,

2 years off the road

Hi all, Our van has been laid up by the side of our house for a couple of years and we would like to get it going this year. I was starting it up once a month up until a couple of months ago when I think the starter motor has developed a problem. The battery has a full charge and the starter will tu...

Re: Stalling problems

Hi T25Convert. That is a very generous offer! We are in SE19 but could come to you. I had the engine cover off at the weekend and noticed that one of the pipes into the carb was split and was leaking fuel so cut the perished piece off then end and re-attached thinking I might have solved the issue b...

Re: Stalling problems

Thanks guys. I also noticed that the rubber tubing that connects to the box that covers the carb (not very technical description I know, bear with me) is split. Could this be letting in more air than it needs and causing the backfiring? I'm guessing I need to replace this rubber - what would I ask f...

Re: Stalling problems

Hmmm...the battery did run down over winter and we had to jump start it. The engine is also backfiring (?)

Stalling problems

Hi everybody. Looking for some thoughts: we have a 1.9 petrol engine in our '85 T25 that has developed a slight issue. We have not used it much over winter and only a few journeys this year but it has started to cut out. Can be driven for 10 or more miles without a problem and will then start cuttin...

Right, cleaned up underneath and on top (engine cover also has oil on it) and went for a gentle couple of miles. Came back and put some cardboard under engine - got about 10-15 drips after 10 mins (from no discernable spot) and top of engine looked like it did before I went out. Oil light is not on ...

Good idea. It's a 1915cc water cooled petrol engine, reconditioned, probably 30-40k miles.

Uh oh, oil leak

Have done a couple of long-ish trips recently (200 miles in a weekend) and have noticed oil leaking onto the road whilst the engine is still hot. A mate pointed out the other day that the push rods(?) may be on their way out as the were small spots of oil on the rear bumper. He explained that if the...

Thanks chaps, Is it correct that the existing runners are removed and the new base screwed into place? Trouble is, I can't see how the existing runners are detatched. I am the third owner of the van and am pretty sure no modifications were done to it but is it possible that the runners were welded i...

Swivel seat base fitment

Hi all, Sorry if this has been covered before but would really like to fit a swivel base for the passenger seat on my '85 RHD. It is a UK conversion (LeisureDrive) and I have the opportunity to buy a Westfalia base but have been told that it screws in using 4 bolts. I have lifted the passenger seat ...

Just Kampers alloys - pictures?

Hi everybody. Am considering some Just Kamper alloys for my van but am not sure what they will look like once on the van. Does anybody have any pictures of their van with either the 5-spoke or 7-spoke wheels fitted?

Thanks, :D

Poptop seal

Hi all, I have an '85 LeisureDrive conversion with a hinged poptop and tried to replace the seal at the weekend. As I was removing the old seal from the edge that is hinged it became obvious that putting a new one on would be difficult :( I was there for about 3 or 4 hours but did not manage to fit ...

Thanks bulldog I would be interested to hear your experiences with the spray shop and what the final cost is. I am more than happy to travel down to Sussex if the cost and finish are good (it sounds like they are doing a thorough job).
Cheers, :D
