Re: Resealing High Top Roof
Just discovered that 2/3 of the sealant around my high top has blown. Lots of moisture and dirt behind it so assuming its no longer attached to the van. When you talk about re-sealing, presumably you need to rake out all the old stuff first, take roof off, clean, apply new Sealflex and re-seat the r...

Re: cigar lighter power source
Thanks for that Baldy. The only problem is that the bloke I bought the camper from thought he was good at electrics - he wasn't. So I'm not keen of moding the existing stuff as I have know idea if it has already been tinkered with. I'm ideally looking for a new (simple) system I can work straight of...

Pionte - I need to wire in a new Cigar lighter socket onto my leisure battery - but for the life of me can't find where on the wiki it explains how? can you (or anyone else) point me in the right direction?
Cheers.
Cheers.
Cab bunks
Hello all.
Thinking about getting a cab bunk from vw-beds.com. Looks like a stretcher that sits on to the front door window ledges.
Anyone had any experience of them?

Re: Socket under seat.
Thought as much.
Knew it could not be as easy as it looked. Can anyone recommend any kits?. I think I'm only really going to be wanting it for a cool box.

How to use a fridge?
Got a 3 way fridge in the van - despite a few trips, not actually used it. Tested it on gas the other week for about 4 hours but it did not get to what I would consider 'cold'. Does the fridge efficiency changes the lower you get on gas (start the jokes about it not working when the gas runs out :lo...

Socket under seat.
Hi. Found a very rusty, corroded cigar lighter socket under the passenger seat. Want to replace it so I can run a cool box etc off of the leisure battery. The chap I bought the van from thought he was a bit of a wiz with the electrics but I've had to sort a lot of things out. This socket too looks a...

Re: Just Kampers Spacemaker Tunnel Awning Help!!!
Similar story to me... but I did manage to work it out. If its anything like mine - the poles are colour coded, Red, Yellow and Blue - I seem to remember the red is in the middle, 2 yellow ones either side and the blue forms a porch to the front. A continuous black pole clips to the gutter rail of t...

Engine operating temperature.
Hello all. Just fitted an after market water temperature sender and gauge as the original one is giving me grief. I intend to fix the original but running out of time before my first big trip in my van and I'm a little paranoid about the engine over heating. The gauge displays the temperature in deg...

Cheers.
