Re: Pierburg Carb
If it's a idle solenoid that you are talking about you can do a independent check on it's functionality, it will click when disconnected then reconnected. Hope that helps a little

Re: Constant Backfiring
Pulled the leads off one by one and the tractor sound is still there, so i do believe that it must be the exhaust.

Re: Carb gasket for 1.9 WBX/ Pierburg
Aiden sorted me out with the gaskets, if i was you i'd grab him by the balls (not literally) and take him up on his offer. He really saved me alot of hassle.
Good luck hope you get your bus running.

Re: Constant Backfiring
I am thinking that that is the case, however how would i start to locate the leak? any tricks or tips? should i go round the joints spraying WD40 or is it a case of going the full hog and replacing the whole exhaust (expense i could do without to be honest).
Thank you for your replies.

Re: Pierburg 2e3 - no fast idle
Isnt that the mixture screw (with tamperproof cap on)... the idle speed screw faces directly at you when looking from the back on a Pierburg 2e3. How did you correctly adjust the mixture (CO Reading)with a gas analyser if you wasnt adjusting with the mixture screw in the first instance?
