Sold my last two vehicles on this site. They ask you to put their reference number in the windscreen to prove it's yours, that removes the con artists/re-sellers and tyre kickers - recommend.

Great, thanks for the tip, will probably use them, looks good.

Re: drivers lock & central locking

Hi, thanks for the replies and help. I'll take another look next week when I get some time, armed with new found information !! A shame really, I'm fixing it as I need to sell it now for ££ . Had it years, but unfortunately needs to go. Although not sure best place to sell it these days, or even cur...

drivers lock & central locking

Hi, For our T25 California Westphalia 1990: I’ve attached some photos of a central door lock issue I have. The central locking no longer works. The drivers (left hand side) door can't be locked at all, by the key or by pressing the lock button down. The passenger and cab doors will lock manually ok...

Total roof height open ??

Hi, I’ve not got access to my van right now but need to know the maximum height at highest point when the roof tent is in the open position on my 1990 T25 Westfalia California. I’m sure some of you T25 experts will have this to hand and if you do then I’d be very grateful :-)

Re: Heater motor and dashboard :-(

Variable switch looks interesting & useful. Though I think I’ll have to leave that until another time when I have time to do it - as I’m paying someone to fix it this time so fitting costs might mount up.
Thanks though, I’ve had a read & seems like a good fix.

Heater motor and dashboard :-(

Hi, after a long time not using the van, we had some work done to get it up and running as it wouldn't start. It's now working & MOT'd (hooray) and was about to drive it off and realised that the heater motor isn't working (I've checked the fuses already). Before I ask the mechanic to work on it...

Re: Won't start and EasyStart ?

Well, finally got it running & MOT'd - well, not me, mechanic. It needed new fuel filter, new copper fuel pipes re-routed round the engine, new solenoid for the fuel pump, new injector breather pipes, replaced a coolant hose and changed the coolant. Phew. Then we went to drive it away and the he...

Re: Won't start and EasyStart ?

Thanks for the reply bigbadbob - though maybe not on the BBQ this time of year :D Thanks for the reply & tips ColinTheFox. I think you're right with the air in the fuel line & bleeding the system. I did replace the the braided rubber back leakage pipes a while ago but as they're cheap I may ...

Won't start and EasyStart ?

IMG_5211.JPG Hi, A quick query please for you mechanically minded folk. The engine is a replacement Seat 1.9TDi. My VWT25 has been unused in a barn for months due to being away etc. I put in 10 litres of fresh diesel, the battery has been on charge, it's turning over when starting, fires once but d...

Re: Westfalia canvas replacement

Well, JK were out of stock, GoWesty were too scarey (taxes?!) so went for Gunzl German one. As cheap as JK German one but in stock. Fast delivery. Just got to fit it tomorrow now before next weeks France trip. Hmmm - some research needed or just dive in & have a go. :ok

Re: Westfalia canvas replacement

Thanks Martin. I'd wondered about the import tax thing. I think I'm going to play safe and buy in the UK instead. It might not get here in time for our Fance trip anyway. The JK new "own brand" cheaper version sounds favourite when it's in stock in middle of June. They've got a new supplie...
