Re: Autohomes roof replacement blog
Nice one - they're a real pain to fix back on aren't they? The back is definitely more dangerous. Neighbours called out an ambulance for me when I fell off the steps! Managed to hobble to the pub later though...

Re: Autohomes roof replacement blog
Thanks for doing this. I refurbed ours about 5 years ago and although it's held up well, the cap looks tatty and could do with replacing at some point. How much was the cap if you don't mind me asking? You're right - getting the struts in the right place is critical to make sure everything lines up ...

Re: Komet fridge and waterpump wiring
I had this problem with my 1970 fiat spider - the wiring bore no resemblance to the diagram so slowly but surely I replaced everything to colour match the diagram. I used vehicle wiring products online. Not sure it was a great idea to follow a 1970 fiat wiring diagram but there you go

Re: Komet fridge and waterpump wiring
I know you're not keen on wiring diagrams but there are some fairly clear ones at http://www.autohomes.vwt25camper.info/h ... ownlo.html which should show what you're looking for.
Incidentally, the wires to the waterpump footswitch on my Kamper are twin red.
Good luck!

Re: Autohomes Kamper Roof rebuild
Actually, if you do attempt this, it would be really helpful if you could measure where the brackets should fit on the roof. Just slightly out makes a big difference to how the roof panels line up. I've messed around for ages and it's not bad now but not perfect.

Re: Autohomes Kamper Roof rebuild
I did virtually the same as Colin with jablite and ply. The pinholes in the aluminium seemed to have been caused by contact reaction with staples in the timber. I sealed the holes with sikaflex on the outside and lined inside with flashing tape. I tried but failed really to mimic the curve so water ...

Re: roof again
Ours has never worked and it's at the campershack for a new exhaust at the most so I can't check. From memory though, ours has got a small metal disc-shaped plate on the outside which you might be able to remove to get at it?

Re: Curtain clips
Hi Vernon - these look identical to the tracks on the high windows on our Autohomes Kamper. The clips are riveted into vinyl-type curtain tape along the top and bottom of each curtain and slide into tracks along the top and bottom of each window with stops on each end. Ours is a pop-top so it needs ...

Thanks for posting the link. I liked the bit about the well-balanced decor - mushroom and beige - still looks good today

Re: Battery wiring on Autohomes camper.
Wiring's a bit of a mystery too but I don't know if the wiring diagrams on p19-21 of this Owners Manual might help? http://www.autohomes.vwt25camper.info/Autohomes_Owners_Manual_VW_T25_Kamper_and_KarismaWM.pdf Helped me to sort out why my fridge wasn't running on 12v. It was my own fault for not bot...

Re: Awning fixing help please.
We bought a used Kyham Motordome (I'm guessing it's about 4-5 years old) recently. It came with the figure of 8 strip but it is quite fiddly. We've got a pole and clamp kit from our old awning but there's no gusset for it to pass through on the Kyham (although I think the new ones seem to have this?...

Re: Flexible fridge exhaust pipe
I was looking for this too. I split mine recently but in the end, I decided to repair it with loads of aluminium repair tape around the split - not sure whether that was a good idea or not though.
