I think with your second battery so you can have your car stereo, 12v coolbox, 12v lights hooked up to it?? You will find out on here the way to work out how much each uses and what power of battery you have = life of use over weekend, if that makes sense??

Re: 80ah battery for camping???
I'm very new to this myself so I hope one of the guys will jump in and correct me if I'm wrong. Firstly, a leisure battery is different, as it's a deep cycle battery, this means it's designed to be charged and then drained and charged etc. A regular car battery is only designed for short sharp burst...

Re: Thanks Club 80 90!
I think for the weekend trips in the hot summer (????????) it'll be a case of pack up and go. But for the longer trips in the summer and easter we'll both need a bit of living space for that not so hot summer (????????). Yes Alice, boys and manky welly boots don't get in the van!! P.s Why can't I ge...

Welding in Glasgow
Hi guys, I've got a footwell from schofields that now needs welding. Rather than go through the yellow pages I'd through the question on here first. Do you recommend anyone in or near Glasgow for this type of work? Thanks

Re: What will a mains hook up manage to power in a van?
I do not understand the wattage/amps power thing........ I probably should! But we used hook up for the first time a couple of weeks ago. We had the laptop hooked up for a dvd for the Olly (age 5) and a wee halogen heater plugged in also ! No problems. I also had the laptop plugged in using a voltag...

Thanks Club 80 90!
Hi all, I'd like to throw a big thanks out to everyone at 80 90. I have been online for months making notes and getting advice. It has all paid off as our dummy run at camping this weekend was a success. I am happy to say for a girl I did not over pack. Did forget a couple of things like my sons cle...

Re: First Camp? Pre camp question?
Got that one covered! It was easier 10 years ago, a trip away involved a quick pack and some cash!!! I need to put a little more thought in to it now.???

First Camp? Pre camp question?
Hi again, this question is to the experts of the trips away (with kids). I'm heading off tommorow to Argarten for 2 nights, our first camp away. Just me and Olly (5). I've been through the forum and checked the lists of things to take away, RAC, baby wipes, oil, bottle opener, DS, Ipod, tool kit etc...
