Hi I'm in the process of adjusting the valve clearenaces on my 1.6JX. I've managed to remove the shim from the valve that is out and have measured it using the micrometer The shim is measuring 3.91mm in the centre of the shim but this increases to 3.945mm towards the edges of the shim. Any advice on...

I'm currently in the process of fitting a reconditioned engine to my van and the mechanics have advised that the cambelt lower cover needs replacing - I'm struggling to find one.

Are there any alternative covesr from a VW engine that will fit e.g. from a 1.9 TDI
