Stainless exhaust design one silencer per pair cylinders?

Hi guys, bit of help / expertise required! had a new stainless exhaust made up by power flow franchise for unmodified 2.1 Ss petrol. They suggested Splitting the system so it runs in parallel so each pair of cylinders feed into their own silencer and tailpipe, said it would improve performance and b...

Re: A hicupping 2.1mv - sdvice please?

Hi mate I had a losing power problem on my Ss 2.1 went round and round in circles for months and eventually traced it to idle stabilisation valve. They not cheap but fitted a second hand one and cured problem, good luck ps you can try cleaning them in carb cleaner too but limited success

Re: 2.1 SS New Fuel tank = dead van - please help

WELL ! - I cleaned out the Idle stabilisation Valve and when I put it back on van the throttle cycled up and down continuously which made driving in traffic awkward! So I figure thats a pretty good sign the valve is kaputt, luckily my friend Nigel Allen in Newquay had a spare and hallelulah it works...

Re: 2.1 SS New Fuel tank = dead van - please help

Interested in this " choke " mode - if my power loss problem only occurs when engine cold ( first ten minutes of driving fault occurs ) could it be a false temperature signal to ECU, and if so is there a temp sensor I could change to try and sort problem? I don't think its the lambda probe...

Re: 2.1 SS New Fuel tank = dead van - please help

Thanks for advice - hear what you are saying re lamda probe but had driven it for 3 yrs with JK exhaeust, no cat or probe without problem - was only after the fuel tank debacle that this problem started - to be honest it happened again on way home last night, turned off then on again and it went awa...

Re: 2.1 SS New Fuel tank = dead van - please help

I know the filter has been changed a couple times throughout the recent tank changes, just seems weird that it happens like clockwork within 10 mins of starting then clears....could this be the filter?

Re: 2.1 SS New Fuel tank = dead van - please help

OK so the Brickwerks tank works a treat, but I have one small related problem....the power loss problem seems to return intermittently. The van starts and drives initially fine. About ten minutes into journey the engine loses power / revs until it is idling but throttle will not respond to accelerat...

Re: 2.1 SS New Fuel tank = dead van - please help

Simon - thanks for reply. The only problem I had with the original tank was that it was starting to vent fumes into the cab, so I orderd the JK one. I bought a second tank from a German website, but when it came it was the same Klokkerholm manufacturer so I did not fit it....I certainly specified th...

Re: 2.1 SS New Fuel tank = dead van - please help

Mechanics at 50-67 say they have tried 3 different fuel pumps, replaced most of the fuel lines etc and spoken to VAG and still scratching their heads.....missing link is still the Klokkerholm fuel tank as supplied by Just Kampers. They have offered me a refund but maintain that even if the grommets ...

I will be ordering a tank soonest and will double check my fuel pump while I'm at it and keep my fingers crossed that my green machine will once more transport me and my boards to the b...
