Re: Rear brake replacement - adjustments
Hi, had the same issue when replacing the backing plates, rubbing on the drum. One did scream and squeal, very embarassing driving around town. After a few miles you'll see where it rubs. Just a piece of wood, a hammer and some whacking did the trick. These newer plates (I had no original replacemen...

Re: 2.0 CU engine rattling on startup
Hi, is it rattling or shaking, that you experience? Rattling could mean an empty hydraulic valve that needs to fill up with oil during a short periode after starting. If it's the engine that shakes, that would/could be a nonfunctioning engine mount. I experienced both: I replaced a partly torn engin...

Re: Sudden loss of power 2lt cu Aircooled.
Connections of the vacuumsystem? Had the same symptoms a few years back. Under load the connections of the vacuumhoses can break loose. Another thing to look for is the small plug on the back ( ie front faced) side of your carb.

Re: T25 "camping"
My 1980 Westfalia Joker ( Aircooled) has the same badge. I think they were used on all the official camper conversions?

Re: New starter still giving problems
Hey guys anything bought from jk is usually bad quality that's just from our experience anyway your best bet is to get it from brickwerks they use the best quality parts which may be more expensive but at least they work. Not totally fair. JK saved my vacation this year. We had a failing alternator...

Re: 2.0l cu air cooled cutting out
I think I've now found the problem which is causing the air leak. It looks like there should be a core plug at the rear of the carb but it has come out and can't find it lying around the engine. I have sourced a supplier but don't know what size or type I need to order ie dish or cap. Any ideas? Ma...

Re: Roofboxes for westfalia space above the cab
Jed at cvc sells boxes that fit, also a weather-proof bag that takes all three. I've bought this set from cvc this year: two sturdy boxes in a flexible weather-proof bag. Love it: very versatile, you can put the boxes in our leave them out put to pack other stuff in the bag. Lost of space but not t...
