Has anyone fitted a towbar to their van or had one fitted?
I need to tow a small trailer and would like to know the rough cost.

Re: T25 garage Bucks?
Whatever you do, avoid Keith Garages in Aylesbury. Took my van there for years until one fateful day when the van needed a full service and a small 'missing' problem sorted. Have it here at 0830 they said, so I did. It just so happens that I was working in a unit overlooking the car park and noticed...

Midges
Some years ago a farmer in Scotland observed that midges never went near the bog myrtle plant. He crushed and brewed a concoction to try out his theory. It worked so well that he was able sell his idea to Sterling Pharmaceutical who made a repellent cream. I tried it out at height of the midge seaso...

Re: Brown stripe
I've found and ordered the Oil-Flo so I'll give it a try.
The wheel option looks like it would damage the surface underneath the stripe which would only open up a new can of worms.
It would have to be the last resort.
Thanks to everyone for the response.

Re: Brown stripe
Oil-Flo looks like its worth a try if it lives up to its publicity.
The company is based in Ca, USA.
Do they have a UK distributor?

Re: Brown stripe
I've bought a small tin of nitro-moores to gingerly dab on.
My roof in in good nick apart from those bloody stripes.
As I'm reluctant to have the roof painted just yet I'm persevere down the chemical route.
Thanks and keep the ideas coming.

Brown stripe
I'm trying without success to remove the brown stripes so beloved of Autosleeper from my roof.
I've tried warming it up with a hairdryer and scraping with a stanley blade with very little progress.
Any advice will be tried out.

Re: Main beam led
The wire was red but i wouldn't read anything into that as it was an obvious bodge onthe part of the fitter. The way it was just stuffed into the spade connector with no solder suggests an amateur at work. I.m thinking the the led is grounded and is looking fot a positive feed from the lamp when on ...

Main beam led
I recently replaced my front main bulbs for halogen type. When I removed the nearside headlamp I found a wire stuffed into middle terminal but not connected at other end. It was about 10inches long. Since then I have no main beam indication. All the lights work OK so has anyone got any idea where I ...

Spare wheel mystery
Years ago most early campers and vans had a spare wheel mounted on the front.
These days they are rarely seen,
Where are they hiding them?

Re: JK Window rubbers
Windows now fitted using the correct profile size ie: 5m+5m for the double skin windows and 5m+1.6m for the others including the louvre frame. It took my expert 1.5 hours of fairly hard graft and cost £60. Anyone else thinking of having it done can email me and I'll put them in touch. Local to Ayles...
