Hiya all,
Is there any way of stopping them from leaking oil? Its only a drip but im trying to sell the van and its putting people off. The oil is dripping onto the exhaust and causing a bit of smoke when it burns off.

Its a 1980 2L Aircooled.

I have a 1980 2L Aircooled. To get through the MOT we had to weaken the mixture but now im worried it could be running hot and damaging the engine. Im gonna take it to a garage and ask to borrow their emmissions machine. What would i be looking for on the readout to ensure its running about right. T...

im thinking about fitting a new engine to my 2L Aircooled.

The cost of converting to watercooled is high and was wondering if anyone produces an Aircooled engine which is more economical than my current 2L.

Power isnt so important but fuel economy is.

Any suggestions.

I have a Citroen ZX 1.9TD and the engine is just sweet !! Very reliable too !!

Mine does the same esp if it been sitting for a while and after a few mins of running it clears up. It sticky tappets i believe.

Ive been told to try an oil additive or use a thinner oil when doing a change next.

Ive just spoken to JK and they have confirmed that the kit listed for the 1980 Aircooled doesnt actually fit !!!!!!

I will look into a different one from the sites mentioned.
