Think there's only one seat that can be used with lap belts - Britax Eclipse (i think)

You could do it the other way round, young un up front with you and elder in the back?

Yeah thats where I'm struggling, it really is a tight fit, not only slipping it on but also trying to manoeuvre my hands around.

I have, when the engine is at temperature, what can only be described as 'engine' fumes. Initially I thought it might be burning oil that has been sat on my heat exchangers following a leak in the past. I have today cleaned the exchangers up and its still happening. I have a westy with lap belts at the rear, did ponder getting a 3 point seat belt fitted but in the end just got a Britax Eclipse which is the only (as far as I know) child seat that can use lap belts as well as 3 point belts

Isofix cannot be installed, its a factory thing.

Need to remove some bits of tinware to replace and also tidy up other bits....can this be done with engine in situ or is it an engine out job
