Re: Window rubber seals

I messaged him (MM/Plasticman) about 2 weeks ago but got no reply as I would have preferred to buy them from him. :(

Window rubber seals

Just a quick question - I need to renew the rubber seals around the side windows on my panel van conversion, where is the best place to get these?
It is a twin slider if that makes any difference!

Thanks

Clunking sound from steering

Hi All, Currently on holiday near Alton Towers so no access to garage, tools etc. Suffering from intermittent clunking from centre of the van pretty much directly under the front seats, during turning. A quick look through previous topics suggests looking at the bushes tomorrow when it stops raining...

Re: Just a reminder to check those coolant hoses! - update

Hi Emma. The tank in the engine bay should be full. The cap on this tank is a pressure switch - when the water heats and expands it allows water down the tube you are referring to into the tank behind the number plate. When the pressure is low in the main tank it sucks water out of the number plate ...

Re: Battery woes - avoid this ebay seller

I also bought this battery and had the same upgrade. The seller is hard to get hold of, but is arranging for the larger battery to be collected and correct one to be delivered. I wouldn't recommend him but I wouldn't say avoid either - much worse out there!!!

Re: rear brake lights

It isn't the parking light? (If you turn off with indicator on, then the rear lights stay on - I think!)

Re: G13 Coolant for T25?

I'm sure more informed people will comment, but I'm pretty sure that mixing different coolants is a no/no - better to drain completely (make sure the heat is on to get the heater water into the system) and refill completely.

Re: van just cut out and died

Thank you again for all the advice and suggestions. New fuel pump went on today and the van is back in action (and another garage has been educated on where a fuel filter should be fitted on our vans!)

Re: van just cut out and died

Hi Guys I'm back from Cornwall (the tent and marriage survived the remnants of Hurricane Bertha). Thank you all for your comments and suggestions, I really appreciate it. :ok Just as I was locking up the van last week I noticed that the fuel filter in the engine bay (I know!!!! and I thought I had a...

Re: van just cut out and died

Thank you all. A week in the remains of a hurricane - with only bare essentials (except chilled booze!) - what could be better?

Re: van just cut out and died

Hi guys, thanks for the replies. The wife insisted we unload the van and just take essentials with us in the daily driver, so we are now in Cornwall but crammed in a 206 like sardines!
Will sort out van on return.
Had to leave the chilled beer at home :-(

van just cut out and died

Hi, supposed to be going camping today so van is loaded to the rooflining! Got in and started up fine, sat at tickover for a minute or two (waiting for the wife to come out of house) and then just cut out and died. TBH i wasn't paying much attention (chatting to the kids) as i wasn't expecting a pro...

Re: vw t25 temperature gauge

That would be the light warning you that the water level in the main tank is low. (That is the bottle in the engine bay not the one behind the number plate.)
Plenty of threads and wiki info about this.
