front brake sticking on one side

Woner if anyone can help me with this dilemma? 1. I changed the front break pads. 2. The nearside started screeching after a mile or so and overheating. 3. I changed the hose, and dismantled the caliper which is the two piston Teves, and used a rebuild kit and put back together. 4. There didn't seem...

what ive now done is put a bit of wire coat hanger down through the swirl chamber to the piston crown and turned crank until I am sure it is at TDC, then put a dob of hammerite onto the flywheel to give me a mark, then gone back and re-adjusted the cam and pump, seems to be running better. still fee...

I want to be certain that no1 cylinder is at tdc, so I can re-mark the flywheel, then I can then proceed if necessary to time pump etc to ensure van is running at full potential. I currently have flat performance which I think is due to incorrect timing, but have lost timing marks on flywheel when fl...

Basically the engine came out of a passat, and the timing marks were lost when the flywheel was swopped over to enable it to fit the T3 bellhousing. As we didn't have the passat bellhousing to line up tdc. Have managed to get close with a piece of wire on the piston and turning the crank, but as you...

thanks, I thought of this one, but there is a pre-chamber so doesn't work, someone suggested that there might be some marks on the crankshaft pulley when it is split which would show when it is at tdc, but it is a long shot, I don't want to have to do all this if the marks arent there.

I had a similar problem with mine, basically a small piece of fuel hose underneath the van, about 4 inches long had de-laminated inside and was intermittently blocking the fuel. It would work fine for a few days and then come to a stop, then left for ten minutes or so would start and run for hundred...

timing marks on aaz

Hi, can anyone tell me if there are timing marks on the crankshaft pulley on the aaz engine?
If not any suggestions on how to find tdc when the timing marks are lost on the flywheel?
thanks

input shaft

Thanks guys, I have the front mount attached to the new box, so will use that. I will have to source the stick and rods. The new box is DW code so hope it will be an improvement on the current one which I think is DM.
Do I swop the input shaft before or after changing the bell housings over?

gearbox swop for aaz conversion

I have installed aaz 1.9 td from passat into my t25 but still have the old 4 speed 1600 d box, I think it is DM serial no. Most of the number has disapeared. I have purchased a new 5 speed box for which I don't have a serial no. yet. to be delivered Friday. Do I need to change the gear stick etc? or...
