Press pedal to floor before starting, release then turn key ... that's all there is to setting the choke .... i havent tried setting the choke but probabley best i check that it isnt broke or breather pipes gunked up? :ok

hi everyone new to all this used to tinker with old moggies years ago but always wanted a vw camper anyway i have recently bought a 87 westie nice van but the bugger doesnt like starting first time around ,churn it over for long enough and it will fire up drive in to town only a couple of miles star...
