Thanks that may work if I can stretch the cables that far. I'll see if I get any more problems when I fix the existing box. I fitted an auxilary box behind the passenger seat running off the lesiure battery which runs the stereo, interior lights and 12v sockets so I only have the original wiring run...

That was helpful. I think I will overhaul the box rather than try a bodged replacement which will probably cause more problems than it solves

Thanks, I will get busy with the emery cloth. I know later boxes won't work as there are too many circuits, I just wondered if some enterprising company had started making replacements that could just be slotted into the existing space.
