Re: ht leads and misfire while in france
these ones seem to be sealed on somehow - tried jiggling them etc.
i dont really understand how they could fail so quickly - but ive tried two testers on them and they definitely are not conducting. The box they came in did looking rather cheap looking and i'd never heard of the brand though!

ht leads and misfire while in france
Have a random misfire on a 1.9 petrol wbx, sometimes backfires. Checked the HT leads and they seemed to be out of range ie several Mega ohms instead of the 6K ohms they were supposed to be. Bought a new set from euro car parts and they were all in range so fitted them and it seemed to fix the proble...

Re: EJ exhaust option
Is the back box custom made also? or off the shelf?.
Don't suppose he does an EZ30 version? - looks very similar to the idea i had for my conversion, would just need different headers...

Re: EJ exhaust option
i thought about that as it makes the pipe work easy, although not sure it would have the necessary airflow for my ez30 install. also thought of using a couple of these joined together in series http://profusionexhausts.com/silencers/oval/4-x-9-inch-102-x-229-mm/2-50-inch-4-x-9-oval-11-inch-polished-...

Re: kangarooing in spain
Well another 80 miles today and all well. Sorry kev but if I listed everything I changed in my van we'd be here all week and in my defence the tracker stop command to disable the coil has worked fine for many thousand miles upto now. Anyway thanks all for the help . Ps Sunset over the camargue looks...

Re: kangarooing in spain
Well after checking for water in the fuel system I removed a relay I installed with the tracker tk103b to disable the coil from a stop command on my phone. Drove 100miles smooth as silk. Don't know if its coincidence or the relay/ tracker were failing in the heat. Will see how it goes tomorrow...

Re: kangarooing in spain
No sign of any water in the petrol, although strangely the petrol is a blueish colour over here! Thinking given the random nature of this and fact it started in 40 degree heat that it could be electrical. Perhaps the coil breaking up ? What sort of resistance should I get across the coil terminals a...

Re: kangarooing in spain
Possibly, anyway to test this??
Did seem worse after stopping to fill up but could be coincidence.

Re: microwave for your t25?
This model uses a built in lithium ion battery. The company are working on a version that can be powered from an external leisure battery which theoretically should be cheaper.

kangarooing in spain
On holiday in Spain and in 40 degree heat we suddenly developed a kangaroo effect at random intervals while driving along. Can go for 10 miles or more fine then suddenly jerk/ juder as though id suddenly lifted foot from the accelerator for a split second. Was thinking fuel starvation but not sure w...

Re: MOT emission fail dilemma
pulling off the rubber hose from the breather tower to the carb might just get you through (just dont tell anyone youve done this and replace it as soon as you leave the mot station) Not a good long term solution but if your in a tight spot and want it to pass today. Also ask them to rev it up a bit...
