Oil Leaking!

Re: Rocker Cover Moves when Engine On

My probs started when i fitted a bugpack breather kit. i thought the oil breather tube running to the rocker cover was causing it to move, so took it off but still the same.n/s was ok. They have always a bit of dodgy fit, so time replace with som...

Rocker Cover Moves when Engine On

I've just fitted new gaskets for the rocker covers on my 2ltr Aircooled. The o/s is fine no probs. The n/s one moves about when i start the engine. Anyone know if i need to now replace the covers or could it be the spring that holds it into place.

cheers

I got most of my gear from vw van garage dealership near to me. they'll be your best bet. They use an on screen catalogue which shows a blown up diagram of the bus. You should visit your nearest van dealer, the one near me was pretty helpfull.

thanks all for your replies. Were trying to find something that will fit on the rock and roll bed with my wife next to the baby. Up top will be ok for me but my wife is vertically challenged and might struggle if the baby was up top. Will have to experiment.

thanks again
